The province has 8 border posts linking South Africa to Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. Out of the 8 border posts, only 2 have freight movement. During the road surveys, the following commodity codes were used to identify the commodities moving across the borders.
The following table gives a list of the border posts in the Limpopo Province.

According to the SANRAL data, the average daily truck traffic (ADTT) is 1136 trucks moving between Musina and Zimbawbe. The observed commodity split is shown in the table below.
From the table above, it can be observed that South Africa exports more cargo than Zimbabwe. This is evident when looking at the percentage of empty trucks observed from Zimbabwe. There is also more containers from Zimbabwe than from South Africa.

According to the SANRAL data, the ADTT is 248 trucks moving between Botswana and Tom Burke. The observed commodity split is shown in the table below.
